European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards Laureates 2020 published

The European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards Laureate booklet has been published virtually on the Europa Nostra website. If you are interested in finding out more about this year's fantastic awards winners, you can read a copy of the Laureates 2020 publication here.

The featured image on the front page of the Laureates publication is of Iron Bridge in Shropshire, UK. This winning project in the category Conservation was selected to be on the front cover as a symbol for the unified, strong and ongoing relationship between Europa Nostra and the UK following the UK's departure from the European Union. As stated by Europa Nostra Secretary General Sneška Quaedvlieg-Mihailović and Executive President Hermann Parzinger in their letter to all Europa Nostra members in the UK, the image is:

"a symbol of the connecting power of culture and our shared cultural heritage beyond institutional realities and political divides."

If you're interested in entering the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards, you can find out more here. The awards are a great way to recognise and celebrate best practice in the field of conservation, research and education.  In this Transition Year, the UK is eligible for all the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards including the second and final year of the Ilucidare prizes, which will showcase outstanding examples of heritage-led innovation and international relations around Europe.
